Well, this morning I witnessed the end of an era - I finally (yes, I realize it's only been a couple of days, but I really would have liked to have gone to the midnight premiere) saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
It was absolutely wonderful, in my opinion, with fantastic direction that kept things moving extremely quickly, without leaving anything terribly important on the cutting room floor. There were many very tearful parts for me, which is to be expected for those who know how the story goes - I'll refrain from spoilers here... and the final shot made me tear up quite a bit, as well, just knowing that this magical journey is all over with. The acting was top-notch, and it's amazing to think how far the actors have come since being little kids, and how we've watched them grow up over the years.
A couple of flashes back to the first few movies were a tad jarring in this regard, in fact, as we saw a very young Daniel Radcliffe, and it's amazing to realize just how small he was when the movies began. I definitely recommend this movie to Harry Potter fans, but I'm sure the fans already have seen it, or are going to see it.

League of Legends
Well, I finally joined the millions of other gamers in playing League of Legends. I've only played against bots so far, but I'll tell you what... I am addicted. It's my favorite type of game: easy to learn, insanely hard to master. I just know that when I finally go up against other actual players I am going to get straight-up stomped.
I've been having a ton of fun playing with a few friends of mine, and my early favorite character is Sivir --- and I am SO tempted to pick up one of her skins, but I just can't pull myself to pay for skins. Given, the company deserves some money from me, since this game requires absolutely no monetary input whatsoever. Free to download, free to play, and you don't even *have* to spend any actual money to get new champions. If you haven't checked it out, you should, there's absolutely nothing to lose.
I'd also like to mention that I moved MyWDW.net's blog over to Blogger so I can just use one interface for both and make my life a tad bit less complicated, so if you're interested in checking that out, the link is over to the side. :)

Anger and Bitterness on the Internet
This is not exactly an original subject by any means, but something that I've just noticed more and more lately. Why does it seem that people act like such children on internet forums? I formerly thought that it was only certain forums that people decided to throw tantrums and deride and debase other people on, but the more I peruse the internet, the more I see the same type of behavior.
Even on various Disney World fan forums I've spent time on, people are incredibly bitter and treat anyone with a mildly differing opinion than them like a complete moron. Why do we feel so entitled to having the only valid opinion on the internet? Even if we don't like someone else's opinion, why do we feel the need to insult their intellect and taste because they like a certain theme park attraction over another? Now, I'm not coming here to complain because someone was insulting me, because when I see conversations like this I tend to steer completely clear of the silliness.
Anyone else have any experiences like this, where things just get ridiculously out of hand? I'm starting to feel like the anger associated with politics is starting to bleed into even the enjoyable, allegedly relaxing parts of life! Can't we all just get along?

Happy Independence Day
James Stewart in one of my all-time favorite movies, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Have a happy and safe Fourth of July, everyone.

First Blog Entry
Looks like I finally caught up with the rest of the world and got a blog rolling out. Great! Man, I haven't posted things like this on the internet since LiveJournal was popular. Yeah... that's right... LiveJournal. Sometimes I wonder if anyone even remembers it!
Been busy all morning working on stuff for my MyWDW website, trying to make things look pretty and such. It's been a lot of fun to work on, and I'm glad my friends have been supportive of it, especially my lovely girlfriend who has managed to deal with me rambling about it so much. I've created a separate blog for that website to share my more personal feelings about Disney experiences, but this blog here is for everything else, to ramble on and on about little to nothing.
Well, back to work I go! I hope you enjoy the blog in the future!
